The Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology

Greetings

Esteemed members of the Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology (KSAP), It is my honor to welcome you as the President of KSAP since January 2023.

Our esteemed organization, which originated as the Korean Society for Intravenous Anesthesia in 1996, has been dedicated to fostering academic advancement and promoting an exchange of knowledge and fellowship among members since its renaming to KSAP in 2008.Throughout our history, we have made significant strides in various fields, including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacometrics, biomedical signal analysis, and medical device technology. Recent efforts have focused on expanding educational opportunities through simulation workshops and vital recorder Workshops, which form the foundation of our utilization of big data.

Anesthetic pharmacology, though essential, can be daunting for many. Despite the widespread clinical use of anesthetics, understanding its complexities often proves challenging, leaving individuals feeling overwhelmed or discouraged. We are focused on reducing this barrier to entry by creating accessible academic content that facilitates comfortable learning of anesthetic pharmacology for clinicians and its practical application in clinical settings. Furthermore, commencing in 2023, we will initiate a research fund competition to provide financial support to numerous research projects, aiming to aid researchers in producing outstanding results.

The achievements of KSAP are a testament to the tireless efforts of our esteemed predecessors and dedicated members. We endeavor to continue this legacy by fostering significant internal and external growth through increased academic activities and international exchanges. Additionally, we strive to foster an atmosphere of harmony of harmony where members can contribute with dedication and engage in open discourse without hesitation.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our members for their support of KSAP, and I sincerely request your continued interest and active participation in our noble endeavor.

Thank you.

January 2023

Dong Woo Han, President of the Korean Society for Anesthetic Pharmacology (KSAP)
